Award Winning Authors Lita Tomas and Jean Marie McNamara to Appear at Printers Row Lit Fest
CHICAGO, IL (September 10, 2026) Master Wings Publishing is pleased to announce that award winning authors and military veterans Lita Tomas and Jean Marie McNamara will appear at the Printers Row Lit Fest in Chicago on Saturday, September 12th, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Printers Row Lit Fest is the largest free outdoor literary festivals in the Midwest, bringing together authors, publishers, booksellers, and readers in Chicago’s historic Printers Row neighborhood.
Tomas and McNamara are the mother and daughter co-authors of Lita & Jean: Memoirs of Two Generations of Military Women, a memoir that weaves together their intergenerational perspectives on military service and explores the experiences that shaped their lives both during and after their time in uniform.
Throughout the book, Tomas and McNamara share their individual perspectives on military service, family, trauma, illness, advocacy, resilience, and the challenges of navigating life after difficult experiences. By telling their stories side by side, the authors offer readers a unique look at how two women from different generations experienced military life and how those experiences continued to influence their personal journeys.
Visitors to the Master Wings Publishing booth will have the opportunity to meet Tomas and McNamara, get copies of their book signed by the authors, and connect with the authors about their experiences. A limited number of free copies of their memoir will be free for attendees during the event courtesy of the generous sponsorship of Army Women’s Foundation, the premier volunteer organization for today’s U.S. Army women and veterans dedicated to empowering, honoring, connecting, and being a dynamic advocate for telling their stories.
